Some context about the Nespresso® single-use capsules
Nespresso® has a secret potion for their single-use capsules that allows a consistent extract regardless of the bean origin, blend or intensity. Wonder what that secret potion is 🤫!
The mlovepod™ reusable coffee capsules cannot give 100% the same result as the Nespresso® Original pods because of the freshly ground coffee beans if using the mlovepod™ Grinder and no "Secret potion". The results are pretty close though if you consider some of the following tips.
Here are some steps for a great extract and richer espresso using the our BaristaPod

- Fill your mlovepod™ Grinder with the beans and put the lid on
- Set the grinder to #1 and grind the beans
- Empty the grinder glass jar into a bowl (optional)
- Use the mlovepod™ Spoon to fill your OnePod coffee capsule with the freshly ground coffee
- Use the mlovepod™ Tamper to press the ground coffee down.
Tip 1: tighter tamp = stronger coffee and better Crema.
Tip 2: remember "Not too tight" :) - Repeat steps 4 to 6.
- Insert the OnePod capsule into your machine, put your cup in position and press the espresso button
- Enjoy your cuppa
Tip for a stronger espresso
We recommend using 2 mlovepod OnePod capsules, and here’s how:
- Fill the 1st coffee capsule: Complete steps 4 to 7 above
- Fill the 2st coffee capsule: Complete steps 4 to 7 above
- Put your cup in the right position
- Insert your 1st OnePod capsule into the machine
- Press the espresso button to begin the extract
- Stop it half way
- Eject the reusable coffee capsule
- insert the 2nd OnePod capsule
- Repeat steps 5 to 7
- Enjoy your cuppa
This will give you the best part of the bean extract with less watery taste, much stronger espresso and better Crema.
What’s good to know
Playing with the tampering pressure until you find the right balance of coffee taste and strength .
Pressure depends on the size of the grind, which varies from coffee to coffee.
If the grind is too fine and the water does not flow well through the capsule filter, then set the Grinder grind on #2.
After a few tries, you’ll find the right pressure-to-taste balance that's just right for you.
